The Foggy City

It's been suprisingly long since I've visited the foggy city and as always, friends, family and food made a 36-hour trip fantastic.

Day One went a little something like this:

Say hello to San Francisco.  Bay Bridge.

Visit apartment, and enjoy company of, a particularly charming (think endearingly sarcastic, not chivalrous) and brilliant childhood friend who reminds you every time you hang why you will always be friends.

Walk the streets of San Francisco in comfortable flats.  Tory Burch flats.

Appreciate brick porches and uniquely stacked duplexes lining the narrow streets of the city.  Olive & Oak shirtJBrand 811 Polar Skinny jeans.  Diane von Furstenberg sunglasses.  Tory Burch statement necklace.

Make a quick stop at La Maison Goyard...

Red White And Blue

Chic and comfortable, the maxi dress is one of my favorite trends (compare bandage dress).  I can't get enough of them and given last week's events, I thought a patriotic post was in order.

DNA Couture red/white and blue/white striped maxi dresses. Call It Spring Sandals. Kep Designs and Michael Kors bracelets. Tory Burch necklace (red). Vingtage Gucci bag (red). Chanel bag (blue). Trink Turk statement necklace (blue).

Palm Springs

For my 30th birthday, I decided to do something relatively low key with about 15 close friends and figured what's more relaxing than Palm Springs!  Thanks to Sincerely Smitten, we had the good sense to stay at the Parker - an endless garden with croquet, bocce ball, three pools, life size chess board...

Uniquely gorgeous lobby...

Delicious five-star diner, Norma's (yes, same as NYC)...

Hammocks...

Fountains...

And...heat!  Marc by Marc Jacobs shorts. Aqua Henley floral shirt. Rebecca Minkoff Nikki Hobo navy purse (black version here).  Rayban sunglasses.  Call It Spring sandals.
