Empire State of Mind

A last-minute trip to NYC for work allowed me a few good meals with friends in the city, a stroll through the upper west side, and a new color denim purchase! 

Things I will ALWAYS love about NYC:

Being able to buy fresh flowers at any time of day or night on the street. 

Brownstone filled streets lined with trees. 

 

Countless magazine stands on street corners. 

Smart company.  Delicously real pizza from No. 28.  Warm summer nights.  The West Village.

Coming home with the best shopping purchases - Paige Verdugo jeans and Joe's coffee.  Top picture:  Anthropologie top.  Hideo Wakamatsu carry-on. 

The Food: Joe Shanghai (best soup dumplings), Ilili (good and fancy apps), Candle Cafe (best vegan option for BBQ/mac & cheese craving at 11 a.m.), No. 28 (delicious period), Grom Gelato (legit), Joe's Coffee (new tradition).  

4th of July

Here is to the 4th - the only day that a red, white and blue color combo really works.  Hope your day was as lovely as mine:

Work outside and pick out Kate Spade jewelry to wear for the day.  Kate Spade laptop cover.

 Bring tart to BBQ - where I am greeted by an adorable patriot.

Spontaneous Saturday

Sometimes the best plan is to have no plan.  A friend who notoriously flies by the seat of her pants was in town this weekend and, as expected, fun times were had:

Wake up to deliciousness.

Head to breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien on Larchmont (where you will find me on any good weekend morning).  Decide that serious shopping is in order.  Aqua harem pants, Banana Republic top, Tory Burch sunnies, Joan & David coral pumps.

Embark on a day of shopping via the Fiat (and try to do it as much justice as JLo)! 

Hit Cabazon outlets.  Pick up chai.  Keep shopping.
