Kubrick at LACMA

Although I'm not a Kubrick connoisseur by any means (shamefully, I've only seen one movie), reviews of the Kubrick exhibit at LACMA have been consistently positive and Ray's and Stark Bar is always a good excuse for a cocktail. 

Notable highlights:

 

Stroll to LACMA in some 'I want summer to come' shorts only to realize that it's not quite summer yet.

 

 

A Clockwork Orange.  Disturbing.

 

 

 

 The Shining. Even more disturbing.

 

 

Acknowledge the excellence while knowing that I would rather put salt on an open wound than watch the Shining.  



 

 

 

Enjoying the sunshine before...

 

 

Sitting down for a cocktail at Ray's and Stark Bar  Drink of choice: generally spicy so here, it's Owl and Pussycat.  Gap shorts.  Joie top.  Anthropologie blazer.  Trina Turk statement necklace. Coach flats.

LA Fresh

LA has been teasing with glimpses of summer and I personally can't wait.  For now, I am grateful for just a few hours of heat and recognize that a great day starts with a cool morning hike at Runyon (when you can see downtown and Century City)...

Followed by outdoor shopping with the sun blazing (I'm not particularly into caps but I figured I'd see what this New Era hype is all about...)

And a quick costume change for a casual dinner on a brisk evening...

San Diego Chillin'

I may be one of two people in the world who thinks San Diego is overrated but for the first time last weekend, I saw the hype...a little.
