Murakami

It seemed like just yesterday people were flocking to Louis Vuitton to buy Murakami. Now that the craze is over and we pass time waiting for the items to become truly vintage, why not see his art in its full glory?  Last Saturday marked the opening reception of his first major US exhibition in over four years at the gallery Blum & Poe, and the exhibition Arhat ("a being who has achieved a state of enlightenment") did not disappoint.

Being a diehard fan and the first to put me up on Phillip Lim, my dear friend - the Southern Belle - recently shared that she has always believed that 31 would be the greatest year for her because of Lim's story. 

I decided that with age 31 looming in the not so far future, I would adopt her theory and to honor Lim, we hit up the release of the 3.1. Phillip Lim Spring 2013 Collection at its Robertson location last week.

Marveled at the genius creativity behind this instagram machine created by Printsmatic (which allows you to take photos on your phone, instagram them with a specific hashtag, and immediately receive a printout of the photo on a custom design!)...

...And took home a photo of the Southern Belle (also in Phillip Lim) and me!
