Mahalo

I recently got asked what my hobbies are by one of my best friends and completely blanked. Then, I remembered how a few years ago I spent some time figuring things out and realized the importance of documenting things - memorable events, a good day, travel, friends, family - the passage of time.

For me, it is too easy to fall back into the same bad, cycle of working to the point of complete exhaustion and forgetting about everything else.  What better and more cliche time to start some self-indulging blogging than the new year.  So, here's to catching up on 2017 and a refreshed 2018.

Occasion: My Cousin's Wedding.  Islands Visited: Maui, The Big Island and Oahu.  Some highlights below.

1.  Watching the sunrise at Haleakalā, the highest point in Maui.

2.  Diamond Head Hike in Honolulu with the family.

3.  Seeing the volcanoes on the Big Island from a helicopter.

 4.  Palm trees, infinity pools, the ocean, sunsets and giant turtles done right.

5  Of course, the wedding (the ultimate highlight).

6.  Shaved Ice and a few other wonderful things not captured - poke, snorkeling, and visiting Pearl Harbor for the first time.

Mahalo for it all.
